Übermensch

solo exhibition by Jidapa Chansirisarthaporn

Discovering and overcoming oneself in order to affirm and define the value of life freely, to construct an elegant self, full of the power of life, which can fulfill one’s highest potential to truly be “oneself.”

Übermensch, or “Overman,” is a philosophical concept by Friedrich Nietzsche. It represents the ideal human who develops their highest capabilities, creating value in life through the Will to Power. Nietzsche viewed the Übermensch as a way to liberate the self from the morals and traditional constraints imposed by society.

Sugar, spices, and all sorts of knick-knacks are carefully selected ingredients to create a group of extremely adorable superhumans in the world.

So, what makes you...you?

Surreal creatures, strange imaginations, vivid colors, inspiration from natural structures and botany—these are what convey the self. Embrace what you love and what is significant to your spirit. Gather, assemble, and create your identity from these things. No matter how strange they may be, that magic will beautifully bring forth your true self.
