The exhibition "BloomUp" marks the second solo exhibition by Dolrudee Boonkeaw, an artist deeply passionate about contemporary Thai traditional art. The title symbolizes "continuous growth" and conveys stories inspired by literature, legends, and religious beliefs, intertwined with her personal perspective on women as depicted in parts of the Traibhumi (Three Worlds) literature. These ideas are reinterpreted through the works presented in this solo exhibition. The artwork in "BloomUp" portrays women through flowers, butterflies, and intricate Thai patterns. Using the natural tempera painting technique, the pieces incorporate symbols of nature as both a giver and a nurturer of all things. The vibrant and delicate colors reflect the artist's perspective, exploring gender roles and their evolving meanings in modern Thai society. "I hope the 'BloomUp' exhibition allows viewers to understand my perspective on contemporary society while inviting them to interpret and discover their own meanings through my work. Thank you," the artist shared.
