The People's Republic of China and the Kingdom of Thailand established diplomatic relations on July 1, 1975, nearly half a century ago. The two countries' social and cultural ties have been deeply intertwined for thousands of years. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the National Art Museum of China, the National Gallery of Thailand, a subdivision of the Fine Arts Department of Thailand is supporting an art exhibition that is a collaboration between Chinese and Thai government agencies. The exhibition is called "Chinese Xieyi: Art from the National Art Museum of China" to promote cooperation in art and culture and to officially disseminate valuable visual artworks by Chinese artists to the Thai people for the first time
“Chinese Xieyi: Art from the National Art Museum of China” will serve as a gateway to learning about visual arts and a bridge to strengthen the ties between the People's Republic of China and the Kingdom of Thailand.
