Tetsuya Noda

Date:

10 Oct - 19 Nov 2023

Tetsuya Noda is a Japanese artist of the era who has spent half of a century creating intricate works of art through several complex processes. His works have been included in the collections of many world-renowned museums and institutions. Tetsuya has a unique style of art that blends both Western and Eastern tastes seamlessly. He personally cooks up his creations by using the photos he has taken and an inventive combination of traditional woodblock and screenprint techniques. He utilized the Gestetner machine, known as the Roneo machine in Thailand, to create the stencil that is used for silk screen printing, before applying the collage technique to rearrange the composition displayed in the artwork. The soft and heavy atmosphere from the monochromic light and tones among the unoccupied sense of mystery manifests a remarkable aesthetic that cannot be duplicated by any artificial intelligence.
