Dickson Yewn

Date:

26 - 31 May 2024

Eurus Gallery is proud to present the first retrospective exhibition of Hong Kong artist Dickson Yewn in Thailand.

Yewn is the most prominent contemporary jewellery artist working with the theme of China's cultural and historical heritage. He is a philosopher and a fine craftsman. One of Yewn’s most sought-after works is the square ring in it’s different variations. But the artist's endowment is not limited to it. Eurus will highlight the facets of Yewn's current period’s work as well as rare archival pieces created since 1995.

Eurus will not only showcase Yewn the jeweller. The exhibition is also dedicated to his artpieces in other mediums, which he started working with even earlier than jewellery.

About YEWN
YEWN is a seed that was sown five thousand years ago in China and sprung up when Dickson Yewn, YEWN’s creative director, started creating wearable works of art, his sophisticated craftsmanship reminding twenty-first century audiences of national treasures made by imperial artisans. Since the end of Chinese monarchy, fine jewelry expressing the essence of traditional Chinese art and culture was rarely made. YEWN has the vision to revive the sophistication of traditional Chinese art and to become “The Contemporary Chinese Luxury Jeweller”, a distinctive jewellery brand that truly represents the only remaining civilization-state in the world, China.
