The exhibition aims to explore the global perspective on the phenomenon of hard work in contemporary society, presented through the works of resident artists from three countries: the United States, Italy, and Thailand.
The exhibition conveys various aspects through three art forms: painting, animation, and music, creating a site-specific installation that utilizes the context of the Matdot Art Center as a symbolic metaphor.
The goal is to create a sensory experience through visuals and sound that encourages reflection on the major issues impacting people’s lives worldwide. From an old, abandoned office building that had been neglected for decades to a contemporary art space filled with people, the dynamics of this spatial transformation sparked the interest of Trinapat Chaisitssak (Thailand). He created works by pressing various surfaces of the building onto over nine hundred sheets of tracing paper. Meanwhile, Carlos Delgado (United States) collected videos of people engaged in various professions from around the world and used his custom-designed computer program to create animation, offering a novel visual perspective. Paolo Gatti (Italy) was inspired by the central theme of the exhibition and the sub-themes synthesized from Trinapat’s paintings and Delgado’s animations. He presents flute music from three cultures, harmonized within an electronic music framework.
