Supples Gallery is pleased to present Here for the Cake, the second solo exhibition by London-based painter Natalie Savage (b. 1994)

Known for her playful and expressive approach to still life, Savage captures the spirit of togetherness and celebration through vivid scenes that radiate warmth, joy, and human connection.

In Here for the Cake, Savage turns the table into a joyful meeting place, a stage for laughter, shared stories, and the simple happiness found in good company. Her richly coloured canvases are filled with familiar details: bottles chilling in ice, platters of seafood, tumbling flowers, and glasses caught mid-toast. These compositions reverberate with energy and affection, embodying the sensory pleasure of gathering with those we love.

 Savage’s palette of bold and contrasting colours, from deep greens to luminous pinks, fill the works with a sense of movement and emotional resonance. Cascading champagne glasses shimmer under candlelight, a checkerboard floor and fuchsia tablecloth frame a feast of fish, lilies, and drinks. Her scenes are not about opulence, but about connection — the shared joy of being present with others.

Building on her first solo exhibition with Supples Gallery, Here for the Cake deepens Savage’s exploration of the social and emotional rituals surrounding food and celebration. Her work reminds us that art, like dining, is best experienced together — vibrant, connected, and full of life.
