KinoFest is back!
KinoFest is the Goethe-Institut's annual festival in Southeast Asia for contemporary German cinema. Last year, the festival was only available online. This year, we are back in cinemas: at the Goethe Saal in Bangkok and at various film venues across Thailand.
Curated by Berlin-based film expert Gugi Gumilang, the 2023 Kinofest program features films by and about filmmakers and actors from marginalized communities in Germany. These films explore themes of migration, connection, and interconnection, offering a nuanced and multifaceted view of German society.
The festival will take place from October 25 to November 5, 2023 in Bangkok, Nakhon Pathom,Hat Yai, Chiang Mai, Phayao, Phitsanulok and Nakhon Ratchasima. The festival program can be found here: https://www.goethe.de/ins/th/en/kul/sup/kin/tuv.html
