RE-ENCHANTED

Sirawit Chatu

Date:

20 Apr - 23 Jun 2024

VS Gallery proudly presents RE-ENCHANTED, an art exhibition by Sirawit Chatu, that used visual art to lead audiences to explore the history of Post-Cold War Era Capitalism, that currently drives the internet world to transform local traditional beliefs of Thai people into mere commodities that can be exchanged for money. The artist applies a printmaking technique that is reproduced in an industrial manner in order to simulate how the sacredness of the past was weakened and exploited for capitalist production, only to serve the time when people with low spiritual esteem can not be healed by old-world faith.

The exhibition RE-ENCHANTED by Sirawit Chaturapattranon is on display at VS Gallery from April 20 until June 23.
