The debut solo exhibition by Faozee, the creative mind behind the signature ‘masked boy’—a haunting figure that embodies the loneliness and fragility of the modern soul.
In “Synthetic Soul”, Faozee contemplates the shifting nature of human connection in a near-future world—where relationships between people are increasingly replaced by intangible, data-driven interactions; where technology becomes our confidant, our emotional anchor, and our silent witness; and where faith itself begins to yield to algorithms, precision, and artificial intelligence.
As the boundary between human and machine blurs, ‘the soul’ may no longer belong solely to flesh and blood. For in this age, AI is learning to comfort, to listen, and to understand—sometimes even better than we understand one another.
If so, then what does it mean to have a ‘real human connection’?
Is it still neccessary—or are we simply clinging to synthetic warmth, a simulation of tenderness we choose to believe in, to shield ourselves from isolation and the coldness of truth?
The exhibition “Synthetic Soul” is open from 4 December 2025 - 11 January 2026 at RCB Photographers’ Gallery, 2nd floor, River City Bangkok.
