This exhibition is dedicated to the memory of the artist’s mother, who passed away 11 years ago. Though she is no longer here, the impact of her mother’s life on the artist are indelible, woven into the very fabric of her being.

In this body of work, the artist took inspiration from her mother’s own embroidery, which she has reinterpreted and expanded into her own designs. Using textiles and cross-stitch as her medium, she connects their lives together across time, bridging the past and present and exploring the bittersweet feelings these unsealed memories evoke.

Through these artworks, the artist hopes to honour her mother’s memory and celebrate the profound, subtle, and powerful connections that binds mothers and their children.
