Professor Emeritus Preecha Thaothong, a National Artist in Visual Arts (Painting) in 2009, has played a significant role in the development of contemporary Thai art. His abstract works reflect his distinctive identity by fusing traditional Thai painting techniques with Western art practices, all while being deeply rooted in Buddhist philosophy and the foundations of Thai culture.
Over 60 years as an artist and 54 years as an art teacher, he has nurtured countless talents by inspiring his students. This exhibition project brings together artistic works and knowledge, and fosters collaboration among various groups of artists, including National Artists, distinguished artists, Silpathorn artists, educational institution artists, independent artists, and his students as a tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother.
The exhibition will be on display from January 22 to March 8, 2026
At the 1st-4th floors of the Queen Sirikit Art Gallery.
