For the longest time, Khon Pi Luang has become an integral part of life along the Mekong river. Within its plenteous territory, local flora and fauna thrive.

In No Distance to Khon Pi Laung, ubatsat focuses on an urgent environmental issue surrounding the region. The artworks consist of the paintings, and documentary video on its ecological significance, and invasive threats from upstream. Local folklore and real-world experience of those who are living downstream are recounted and shown alongside alien objects that have intruded into this region as part of a grand economic scheme.
