Above the Ground, Below the Sky Solo Exhibition by “I Draw a House for My Friends”
🗓 3 May 2025– 28 June 2025
📍At Mini Xspace Gallery Fl. 2 (Mon-Sat 10:00 - 17:00)
I believe that we once felt adrift at some point in every human being’s life. It might be when you are about to make a very difficult decision that your future depends on it—your head is empty because you don't know where to head or when you finally grow up and realize that you’re just another little person among millions of them—just try to live their life.
‘Above the ground, below the sky’ is an exhibition of painting and watercolor series by I Draw A House for My Friends, portraying a new stage of her exploring subject which is a ‘house’ within new landscapes—a house is that floating in between the gap of the ground and the sky. It captures the feeling of being adrift, caught between thoughts and the uncertainty of where to head which translates from the moment when life has arrived to the point of changing again and all you can do is hope that it will be great and worth it eventually.
Moving from an individual to a collective, the exhibition would like to honor those who are in their stage of self-discovery and hope. It can be exhausting and heavy in a way that’s hard to explain but it is going to worth it in the end.
