This exhibition draws inspiration from the way of life, society, and local culture of Northern Thailand — vital parts of people’s lives that have been passed down through generations. These cultural layers resemble sediments of memory, recording the stories of each era. The artist believes that life is abundance and wonder; everything around us is connected as one, and our experiences are histories intricately woven into an irreplaceable whole. The exhibition presents both two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks that embody difference and diversity — chaos and fluidity, stability and softness, strength and fragility. These works merge traditional and contemporary cultures, resembling an archaeological discovery formed by overlapping traces of the past and the present. The concept of “Habitus,” proposed by French philosopher Pierre Bourdieu, is integrated to explain how experiences, perceptions, beliefs, and tastes are shaped within individuals and reflected in artistic expression. The artist’s work goes beyond personal values to reveal the collective memory and cultural identity of the community. Ultimately, this exhibition invites viewers to contemplate how lifestyle, culture, and environment influence who we are, and how we, in turn, shape our surroundings. It is both a reflection and a question: how do our cultural roots define our identities, and what kind of future, people, society, and culture — do we wish to create?
