Hell hath no fury like a Queer scorned

การแสดงของ H0M0HAUS เทศกาลศิลปะการแสดงเพื่อความหลากหลาย 2024

Date:

1 - 9 Jun 2024

"Don’t mess with the Queer, it's not going to end well for you."

Come one, come all! Or come all over if you so desire! Let us march to shake off the bitter world behind us. Let's join hands, empowered by the army of free love, to show them not to mess with us!

Pathipon (Miss Oat), a Queer artist who identifies as a transwoman for (political) reasons, joins forces with Baimon Hathaichanok, a fourth-year drama student who identifies as a non-binary sapphic. Together, they will herald 'Hell hath no fury like a Queer scorned' as a tool to demand and protest against the heteronormativity of Toxic Male in the art scene. This is the performance where artists who identify themselves as diverse genders beyond the binary norms raise their voices. Now, what will you do? Will you speak out, support, oppose, or just sit and watch? Or will we fight together in the end?

Many may wonder what THE HELL 'Hell hath no fury like a Queer scorned' means. It originated from a phrase by Sylvia Rivera, an LGBTQ+ rights activist, which in turn was derived from William Congreve's play 'The Mourning Bride'. Essentially, it means that no one can be more furious or seek more revenge than a Queer when they are scorned or mistreated.

So, don't mess with Queers (and with Queers, trans people, non-binary folks, and sapphics). Come, you Smelly d*ck men! We dare you to meet face to face.

**This performance will refer to real-life people, many of whose names will be familiar to you if you are involved in the theatre scene, so please use discretion while watching.
***There are no reserved seats in the theatre, but we'll provide chairs outside for those in need.
***The term ‘Toxic men’ or 'Smelly-d*ck men' in the performance refers to the dominant male system. So, there's no need to get worked up if you are not one!
