This global-scale event is part of the celebration for the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025, using art as a powerful medium to inspire and enhance the appeal of Thailand’s travel destinations. The goal is to offer diverse travel experiences for all types of tourists, delivering memorable and meaningful moments to visitors from around the world.
This exclusive art installation will add vibrancy, spark inspiration, and enrich the tourism experience, making it more fun, memorable, and fulfilling — while also encouraging exploration of nearby destinations.
For “KAWS: HOLIDAY THAILAND,” the artist presents a colossal 18-meter-tall COMPANION seated on Earth, gently holding the Moon, with a smaller COMPANION figure resting on its lap. Positioned at Sanam Luang — a historically and culturally significant site adjacent to the Grand Palace — the sculpture symbolizes the center of all things. It reflects the order of the universe, the interconnectedness of everything, and the continuous flow of wisdom across generations. Sanam Luang acts as a symbolic bridge connecting Thailand’s treasured traditions with contemporary creativity.
This exhibition in Thailand is part of a special touring art collection, following earlier showcases in Indonesia and Shanghai, China.
