MMADness is Calling

Various Artists

Date:

10 September - 25 October 2026

Experience the "madness" and ongoing energy of creativity at MMAD Exhibition September – October, a contemporary programme under the MMADness is Calling project. Across four exhibitions, artists invite everyone to explore the experiments, interpretations and passions that push them beyond familiar frames, opening new perspectives on art, culture, memory and perception.

The Body, The Material, The Soul by Thitiphong Nueangphim (MMAD Gallery 1)

Walk among human-shaped sculptures in brightly coloured work suits, under shimmering light that alternates with deep darkness, and search for meaning between what is revealed and what remains hidden.

Test My Style, Try My Straight by WhatTheYak (MMAD Gallery 2)

Lanna art and culture, once seen as old-fashioned, reimagined through a distinctive personal style: "tung" banners made from skateboards and contemporary Buddhist banner paintings, with a workshop space where visitors can draw and carry the culture forward.

Urban/ Street/ Craft by Nisakorn Phensomboon, Ong-art Maksin and Nattapol Boonphueak (MMAD Gallery 3)

Installations made from waste and leftover materials explore the urban landscape and the blurred border between street art and craft, with a space to craft small pieces of your own from scraps.

Soft World by Jittimon Mantranon (MMAD Gallery 4)

An interactive installation of more than 1,000 soft fabric sculptures and colourful crochet works, created over more than a year with the Ban San Kong hand-embroidery group in Chiang Rai and yarn upcycled through the Mirror Foundation.

Soft World participation sessions: every Saturday and Sunday, 1:00–3:00 PM and 4:00–6:00 PM. Free, register on site.
