The Bualuang Foundation is firmly committed to promoting Thai art and making it widely known. It has therefore organized the Bualuang Painting Contest continuously since 1974, for more than four decades. The 47th Bualuang Painting Contest, held in 2026, is divided into three categories: Traditional Thai Painting, Neo-Traditional Thai Painting, and Contemporary Painting. This year, 148 artists submitted 188 works. The judging committee selected 10 award-winning works and 77 additional works for exhibition, bringing the total number to 87.
After the exhibition at The Queen’s Gallery, the Bualuang Foundation will take the works to Khon Kaen University’s Art and Culture Center in November as a touring exhibition, giving students and local art enthusiasts the chance to view high-quality works.
