Noise In/ Play Out So much noise is incoming—louder each day. There is the chaos outside, and then there is the chaos we carry: the echo of own thoughts, looping, overlapping, too loud to hold in silence. What should we do with all this noise? Okay. Let’s play. Let’s play hard. Let’s play insanely—right in the middle of this crazy, lousy, noisy world.
Noise In / Play Out brings together three artists from Myanmar who first crossed paths at a contemporary art program hosted by Myanm/art Gallery and Space 31. Each of them left home for the same reason. Now, they meet again in Bangkok—still making, still drawing, still speaking in the way they know best. This exhibition is shaped by shared noise—external, internal, political, emotional. There’s the hum of homesickness, the static of uncertainty, and the echo of memory. But there’s also play: sarcasm, stubborn humor, and moments of lightness that cut through the weight. For these artists, making work isn’t about fixing anything. It’s about holding space—for confusion, for remembering, for laughing at the absurdity of it all.
Noise In / Play Out is a testament to meeting chaos not just with rage, but with imagination and playfulness.
