Four Saturdays, Four Ensembles — Bringing Music into Everyday Urban Life
The Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music in collaboration with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration present PGVIM POP-UP: Music in the Park, a public-space music series held throughout January under the concept City • Park • Symphony, aiming to connect high-quality music with everyday urban life and encourage creative use of public spaces.
The concerts take place every Saturday at 6:00 PM at Rama VIII Park, a riverside public park in Bangkok where audiences can relax, walk, exercise, and enjoy live music in a natural and welcoming environment.
PGVIM POP-UP: Music in the Park – Performance Schedule
Saturday, January 10 – Horwang Symphony Orchestra
Saturday, January 17 – Time Soul Percussion Group
Saturday, January 24 – National Symphony Orchestra of Thailand
Saturday, January 31 – Bangkok Metropolitan Orchestra
PGVIM POP-UP reflects PGVIM’s commitment to expanding the “space for music” beyond the concert hall and into public parks, allowing music to become part of leisure, relaxation, and everyday city life—without rigid listening conventions.
The event is open to everyone, from regular classical music audiences to those experiencing orchestral or ensemble music for the first time. The relaxed setting makes it an ideal opportunity to explore classical and contemporary music in an accessible and friendly atmosphere.
PGVIM warmly invites Bangkok residents and visitors to step outdoors, unwind, and enjoy quality live music in the park throughout the four Saturdays of January.
