Exhibition: RHYTHM OF MY COLORS THE 2nd
Artist: Suriya Pojchaijongdee
5-30 April 2026
Old Town Gallery, 1st Floor
"My name is Suriya Pojchaijongdee. My nickname given by my parents is Juat, and the name given by my senior students in the Faculty of Painting, Silpakorn University is Kimjor. Normally, besides studying art, I also enjoy playing music. Both music and art are disciplines that share similarities. In terms of structure, symbols, and the meanings of sounds, they can be conveyed through arranging harmonies and expressing emotions without the need for any words. When we listen to instrumental music, we can perceive sadness, happiness, love, or even anger."
The high art of music, playing the piano in a single instance, can convey rivers, stars, emotional explosions, or the flight of birds. A single musical note, in the physical sense of music, consists of falling-lifting rhythms, weight and stress, pitch, and tonal level. The arrangement using a musician’s system of thought can harness these elements to compose a piece of music that expresses meaning endlessly.
