River City Bangkok proudly presents “The Hero Within”—the third solo exhibition by Wichuda Khuntijit, an artist who transforms the fragility of the human spirit into powerful surrealist imagery. Her paintings are visual poems that reach deep into the viewer’s soul, tracing a path inward—into the quiet, complex world within.
In this exhibition, Wichuda weaves together a series of paintings that read like intimate verses—offering tender reflections on a life shaped by uncertainty, delicacy, and yet, defiant hope. Through dreamlike landscapes where the boundaries between reality and reverie blur, she brings forth her signature symbols: paper boats and loyal dogs—gentle metaphors for navigating inner oceans and unspoken emotions too profound for words.
Wichuda believes that in moments when the sky darkens and clouds descend—whether we cry tears of sorrow or of joy—there is one truth that remains: we will always meet a quiet, unwavering hero along the way. A hero who never leaves us behind, no matter how rough the road ahead. And that hero… is us.
