Fractured Eden

Various Artists

Date:

17 October - 6 November 2026

"Fractured Eden" questions the ancient concept of a perfect world, the Garden of Eden, and the ideal perfection we are constantly reminded of in our daily lives. The exhibition features three emerging Thai artists who share an artistic instinct where beauty must be presented first before gradually revealing the traces hidden beneath.

Natara Rungwong reflects on the pressures and painful societal beauty standards through the subtle inclusion of thorns that slowly press down on the subjects. Jirawat Wannarattanasilp explores "things in transition", reflecting on the traces left in memory and emotion from fooling ourselves into believing that paradise remains intact. Tanawut Somudon focuses on "transitional periods" or overlooked "in-between" moments, specifically the exact moments when the flawless paradise begins to fracture.

The exhibition invites viewers to contemplate the true face of the paradise we strive for and the price we must pay to attain it.
