This June 10-14, Bangkok Community Theatre is thrilled to present a timely, gender- & age-blind reimagining of Oscar Wilde’s timeless comedy about the thrills and perils of love, high society and of course, muffins. It’s all fun and games until your lover turns out to be a total fiction. Jack may be Jack in the country but when in town, he goes by the name of Ernest and his terribly unserious friend, Algernon, is just as two-faced. So when the truth comes knocking, and their performative lives are quite exploded, they begin to wonder if being Ernest might just be more trouble than it’s worth - especially when their paramours prove to be much more interested in the aesthetic of the lie.
